Millennium Tour well worth the 15-year wait as R&B boy group B2K thrills fans around the US
Former TRL favorite returns to the stage with a blast of nostalgia

May 31, 2019 – Los Angeles, CA – In recent years, fans of 1990s and 2000s music groups have clamored for long awaited reunion tours. Fans who grew up in the days of MTV’s Total Request Live (TRL) and boy bands have been blessed with groups getting back together to sing their chart-topping singles.

After 15-years apart, the members of B2K (Boys of the New Millennium) joined the list of groups to reunite. The former TRL favorites found success in the early 2000s thanks to four top 40 hit songs landing on the Billboard Hot 100

In late 2018, B2K announced its members would reunite and fans of the group rushed out for concert tickets to the group’s Millennium Tour.

B2K’s 25-city plus Millennium Tour has wowed fans and left many wanting more. But it isn’t just

B2K’s return to the stage that has impressed those in attendance at tour stops.

B2K enlisted a who’s who group of supporting acts for the tour.

Special guests on the Millennium Tour have included-

Mario, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Pretty Ricky, and Chingy.

The response from fans of each musician and group has been tremendous.

The Millennium Tour has had its fair share of surprises so far.

The tour’s stop at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden was a truly memorable one as Ashanti made a special guest appearance. She sang alongside opening act Lloyd as they performed “Southside”. That duet was just one of the unforgettable moments at the Millennium Tour provided to fans across the US.

According to Billboard, the Millennium Tour has grossed $6.7 million. The figure was more than any tour B2K performed during their prime in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band’s three shows in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Atlanta alone sold a combined 56,000-plus tickets.

B2K’s nostalgia appeal in its three largest ticket selling cities can be partly credited to the team work of  Tara Thomas and her agency within those markets.

B2K’s previous highest grossing tour was in 2003.

That year, B2K performed on the Scream Tour alongside

Bow Wow and grossed $4.7m.

Public relations guru Tara Thomas, owner of the Tara Thomas Agency, successfully handled the media side of the Millennium Tour for production company G-Squared Events. Although Tara has worked with platinum selling artists prior, B2K’s Millennium Tour was another level.

“We really scored big working with G-Squared Events to publicize the Millennium Tour,” Tara Thomas said. “It has been an unbelievable set of shows and one of the best experiences we have had working with music groups.”

“It has been an honor to be a part of the Millennium Tour To see B2K, Pretty Ricky, Mario, Chingy, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, and Bobby V  reconnect with fans has been truly thrilling for us and proof of a job well done.

“Being able to work alongside G-Squared Events and to collaborate on the tour’s public relations has been significant for us as an agency.”

The Millennium Tour is produced by G-Squared Events, a leader in live event promotion and production. G-Squared Events’ production of the entire US tour has been top-notch allowing performers to shine on stage.

The high-quality production has been well received by those in attendance at each concert.

The success of the Millennium Tour could lead to further nostalgia-driven performances by B2K in the future. For more information about B2K’s Millennium Tour, please visit www.gsquaredevents.com.
