George Davis, a Vietnam Veteran, diagnosed with bipolar while in his 20s, hopes that people dealing with bipolar disorder may read the book, recognize some of the symptoms, and gain a better understanding of what is happening.

Author George Davis has released “Bipolar Heaven and Hell,” a profound book aimed at helping people living with bipolar disorder.

The book, now available in leading digital stores and major online resellers, is a result of George’s over 40 years of personally struggling with this disorder.

“When you have dealt with bipolar for this long, you are able to see the symptoms and recognize them in everyday people,” shares George.

In the book, George cites the importance of the medication to help those dealing with bipolar disorder.

“The more severe the manic episode, the more severe the depression episode. This is where medication is so important. There is no cure for bipolar disorder that I know of, but there are lots of good medications to help with mania and depression,” says George.

The medication, George explains, keeps both from being so severe.

He stressed the importance of staying in close contact with doctors during both states, mania and depression. If there is any way possible, he urged people to try and get in a bipolar group.

“I joined one a few years ago, and it has helped me a lot. It gives you a chance to be around other people who are experiencing or have experienced most of the things you are going through,” explains George. “No two souls are the same. It is very hard for someone that is not bipolar to understand the thought process of someone that is.”

In his group, George shares that there is a doctor and a psychiatrist. He says these people can discuss medications and prescribe something different if someone needs to change.

George says it is his sincere hope that these types of people may read the book, recognize some of the symptoms, gain a better understanding of what is happening.

George is a Vietnam Veteran diagnosed with bipolar disorder while in his 20s. He is a retired tugboat captain and lives in the country with his wife of 41 years.

He started the Red Clay Band, in which he plays the guitar and harmonica.

George created T. A. C. C. The Awakening Christian Circle, a weekly men’s group.

In the wake of the release of “Bipolar Heaven and Hell,” so much has happened in George’s life.

The renowned author says he seriously feels he needs to write another book about the reality of the struggle.
